What Flappy Bird Taught Us

If you’ve had any human contact over the past month or so, then you probably heard about the record-breaking rise of Flappy Bird. In case you hadn’t been up to date (aka actually leaving the house), Flappy Bird is a simply designed, yet addictive smartphone game that hit the market last year, but only blew up recently.

The creator designed it for fun and ended up raking in $50,000 per day from the game. Guess hobbies do pay off. Unfortunately, the money wasn’t enough to suppress his guilt over the addictiveness of the game as he stated:

“I am sorry Flappy Bird users. 22 hours from now I will take Flappy Bird down. I cannot take this anymore. It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.”

Isn’t addictiveness good? Keeps a steady stream of cash coming in plus people obsessing over something you have to offer. Scarface never complained.
